Keystone Oaks families may now purchase the Chromebook Protection Plan for their child’s device for the 2023-2024 school year. Kindergarten students do not need a Chromebook Protection Plan for the 2023/2024 school year as their devices will stay at school.
Every Keystone Oaks student in grades 1-12 will be given a Chromebook device that they keep with them for the entire school year to use during the school day. If you choose to not purchase the Chromebook Protection Plan, as described below, your child(ren) will not be allowed to take the Chromebook home. Please keep in mind that teachers may assign homework that needs to be completed using technology, so you want to be sure your child has access to such technology at home if you do not purchase the Chromebook Protection Plan.

The Protection Plan is $20 per device and covers the following:
Insurance does not cover:
The Protection Plan will no longer cover replacement styluses for any cause (loss, damage, failure)
If you do not purchase insurance, keep in mind that the device will remain at school but the following charges will occur if the following happen at school:
The district reserves the right to discontinue participation in the program for students with unusually high numbers of claims.
Instructions on how to purchase the Protection Plan are available on the district’s website. You will need your child’s ID number which can be located in PowerSchool.
