Olweus Bullying Prevention Program

About the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program

The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is a school-wide, systems change program that is effective at reducing rates of bullying in schools. The Olweus Bullying Prevention Program is being used at all three elementary buildings in the Keystone Oaks School District. As part of the program of implementation, staff members were trained in how to administer the program in 2014 and have been implementing various components during the 2014-2015 school year. The foundation of the program is a regularly scheduled class meeting where the purpose is to help students understand anti-bullying rules and how these rules play out in their school lives.
