Keystone Oaks advances four spots on Pittsburgh Business Times' school district Honor Roll

In its annual Honor Roll ranking of southwestern Pennsylvania school districts, the Pittsburgh Business Times has ranked the Keystone Oaks School District #28 in the region, moving up four spots from 2022 and 11 spots since 2020. The District has jumped 27 spots since 2011, when the District was ranked #55.

The ranking looks at three years of state standardized test scores and ranks the 105 regional school districts from highest-scoring to lowest-scoring based on a proprietary formula. This year’s ranking takes into account PSSA and Keystone Exam scores from 2019, 2021 and 2022.

“I am especially proud of this year’s ranking because it takes into account the results of two years of exams that were administered during a global pandemic,” Keystone Oaks Superintendent William P. Stropkaj, Ed.D. said. “This shows the dedication and commitment of our classroom teachers - and all of our employees - to meeting the needs of our students and to delivering instruction in a way that allows them to grow and succeed academically.”

Earlier this school year, Keystone Oaks was ranked among the top 20 school districts in Allegheny County by Niche.com.
