Congratulations, Keystone Oaks High School Class of 2024!

Keystone Oaks High School celebrated its 60th graduating class on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Read more about the academic and athletic accomplishments of the Class of 2024. 

Keystone Oaks High School now recognizes students who have excelled academically, served their community extensively, and maintained a leadership position within the school or community. We are proud to introduce this year's class of Distinguished Graduates

Caleb Robert Anderson has earned more than 100 community service hours by volunteering for vacation bible school at Mt. Lebanon Evangelical Presbyterian Church, as a KOHS Student Ambassador, for the Junior Achievement program at Fred L. Aiken and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, and for various programs in Dormont, including the community garden and Camp Invention. This year, Caleb was the Drum Major for the Golden Eagle Marching Band. He is planning to study aerospace engineering at Penn State University Park. 

Bhawana Baniya has earned more than 660 community service hours by volunteering for the Junior Achievement program at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, as a time keep for the varsity track and field team, and by tutoring, babysitting, and assisting in the high school library. This year, she was a co-captain of the varsity cheerleading team. Bhawana is planning to study medical diagnostics as part of the pre-physician program at the University of Delaware. 

Rockford Liam Bobak has earned more than 135 community service hours by volunteering for the Junior Achievement program at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, and as a counselor for Castle Shannon Borough’s summer recreation program. This year, he was the president of the Technology Education Club. Rockford is planning to study chemistry at Waynesburg University. 


Jonathan Michael Chismar has earned nearly 140 hours of community service by volunteering for the Junior Achievement program at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, for the Eagle Mentoring program at Dormont Elementary School, the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club at the high school, for 8th grade Move Up Day, and for the summer recreation program in the Borough of Dormont. This year, he was the vice president of the FCCLA Club. Jonathan is planning to study aerospace engineering at Penn State Altoona. 


Emily Anne Cicco has earned nearly 140 hours of community service by volunteering at Saints Simon & Jude Elementary School, the Dormont and Green Tree libraries, and Keystone Oaks Middle School’s library. She has also volunteered for the Junior Achievement Program at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, to make holiday ornaments for residents of Kane Hospital, and for the high school’s New Student Orientation. This year, she was a member of the Teen Advisory Council. Emily will be studying fashion design and journalism at Kent State University. 


Dominic Michael Feden-Kist has earned more than 180 community service hours by volunteering for Castle Shannon Borough’s summer recreation program, for the Junior Achievement Program at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, as part of the Mentor Program at Myrtle Avenue Elementary School, and for Thornwood Drive’s Helping Neighbors program. He has also volunteered at events for Golden Oaks Designs and at South Fayette High School’s E-Sports/Business Highlight Event. This year, Dominic was the treasurer of the Technology Education Club. He is planning to study computer science at Penn State University Park. 


Sydney Marie Goisse earned nearly 109 hours of community service by volunteering for the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America Club at the high school, with the Eagle Mentoring Program at Myrtle Avenue Elementary School, and for the high school library. This year, she was captain of the varsity cheerleading team and president of the FCCLA club. Sydney is planning to study early childhood and special education at Duquesne University. 


Ivy Grace Hostutler has earned more than 100 community service hours by volunteering for various programs at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, as well as with Keystone Oaks Middle and High Schools. She was a Student Ambassador for the high school, has volunteered for New Student Orientation, and she also served as a volunteer for the varsity track and field team. This year, she was president of the Student Senate and a leader for the Eagle Mentoring program. Ivy is planning to study business administration at Miami University. 


Samuel O’Connell Koehler has earned nearly 150 community service hours by volunteering for the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, St. Bernard Church, and throughout the Borough of Dormont, including cleaning up litter along Potomac Avenue and by creating and planting a community garden on Belrose Avenue. This year, Samuel earned the rank of Eagle Scout and he was president of the high school’s chapter of the National Honor Society. He is planning to study engineering. 


Alison Leah Leung has earned more than 150 community service hours by volunteering for the Dormont Street Fair and the Dormont Sparkle/Pride event, at the Green Tree Public Library, and for Keystone Oaks High School’s musical. This year, Alison was the woodwind section leader for which ensemble for both marching band and symphonic band. Alison is planning to study computer science at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Cole Jamison Lugaila has earned more than 230 hours of community service by volunteering for programs at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary School, and by assisting with the middle school track and high school tennis teams. He has also volunteered as a Student Ambassador for the high school, assisting with both New Student Orientation and 8th grade Move Up Day, and has volunteered for the high school’s food pantry. This year, he was secretary of the Senior Class, captain of the varsity boys tennis team, co-president of the Future Business Leaders of America club, vice president of the Student Senate, manager for the varsity girls tennis team, editor-in-chief of the yearbook, and a mentor for the Eagle Mentoring program. Cole is planning to pursue a dual degree in business and law at Duquesne University. 

Paige Morgan Marnell has earned more than 110 community service hours by volunteering for the middle school and varsity track teams, the high school library, the Family, Career & Community Leaders of America Club, and the Mt. Lebanon Recreation Center and Cedar Boulevard Baseball Field. She has also volunteered as a tutor at Dormont Elementary School and Keystone Oaks Middle School and has assisted with both New Student Orientation and 8th grade Move Up Day. This year, she was captain of both the varsity cross country and track teams team and served as treasurer for FCCLA and the National Honor Society. Paige is planning to study psychology at Point Park University. 

Emma Claire Mathie has earned more than 310 hours of community service by volunteering for Camp Invention at Dormont Elementary School, summer camp at Green Tree Sportsplex, Little Kickers Soccer, and the PFC Pittsburgh Sports Complex, in addition to 8th grade Move Up Day and various programs at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools. This year, she was captain of both the varsity girls soccer and varsity swim teams, and was vice president of the Senior Class and the National Honor Society. Emma is planning to study biology at Ohio University. 

Julia Catherine Samarin has earned more than 145 hours of community service by volunteering for the Dormont Historical Society, Chartiers Valley Soccer, Keystone Oaks’ basketball camp, and as a manger for the boys tennis team. She also volunteered to make pierogies at St. Teresa church. This year, she was captain of the girls varsity tennis team. Julia is planning to study elementary education at Duquesne University. 

Jenna Mae Scholl earned more than 110 community service hours by volunteering for various programs at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools, with the summer recreation program in Castle Shannon Borough, and for the Night of Code event. This year, she was a member of the executive board for the Girls Who Code club. She is planning to study neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Tessa Marie Smith earned nearly 140 hours of community service by volunteering for the Academy of Dance, the robotics competition at the Middle School, and Keystone Oaks High School’s field day. This year, she was a lead student dance teacher. Tessa is planning to study early childhood and special education at Slippery Rock University. 

Colby Alexander Snatchko earned more than 100 community service hours by volunteering at Myrtle Avenue Elementary School and Hamilton Park in Castle Shannon Borough. This year, he was a captain of the KO United travel soccer team. Colby is planning to study behavioral neuroscience at Lehigh University. 

Riley Nicole Spottiswood earned more than 125 hours of community service by volunteering for the Mt. Washington Food Bank, Duquesne Heights Christian Church, the Green Tree Recreation/Sports Complex, and for Dormont Elementary School. This year, she was captain of the girls varsity soccer team. Riley is planning to study statistics and data science Robert Morris University. 

Casey Emma Stahl has earned more than 140 hours of community service by volunteering for Pittsburgh Musical Theater, the Carnegie Science Center, UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, the Odyssey of the Mind program, and at Fred L. Aiken, Dormont, and Myrtle Avenue Elementary Schools. This year, she was president and secretary of the Science Club, captain for the Visual Ensemble, secretary of the National Honor Society, and a student choreographer for the high school musical. Casey is planning to study chemistry and forensic chemistry at Temple University. 

Salaha Abubakar Suleyman earned 320 hours of community service by volunteering for Dormont Public Library, the varsity track and field team, by tutoring at Keystone Oaks Middle School, and for various fundraisers sponsored by the High School’s Medical Careers club. This year, she was president of the Medical Careers club. Salaha is planning to study biology at the University of Cincinnati. 

Tina Tran has earned 100 hours of community service by volunteering as a scorekeeper for the varsity track and field team and for the Night of Code event. This year, she was president of the Girls Who Code club. Tina is planning to study computer science at the University of Pittsburgh. 

Jacob Robert Wagner has earned more than 100 hours of community service by volunteering for the Challenge Program Assembly, 8th grade Move Up Day, the Middle School play, the Little Eagles wrestling program, and Thornwood Drive’s Helping Neighbors program. This year, he was president of the Senior Class. Jacob is planning to study history at Westminster College. 

Caleb Michael Wolfe has earned 100 hours of community service by volunteering at the Cool Springs Sports Complex and by assisting with youth soccer camp and coaching youth soccer. This year, he was captain of the boys varsity soccer team. Caleb is planning to study cybersecurity at Purdue University.

Class of 2024 Athletic Accomplishments

  • Varsity tennis players Ivy Hostutler and Julia Samarin qualified to compete in both the WPIAL AA Section Singles and Doubles events.

  • Varsity golfers Ethan McGrath, Charles Rich, Eion Tiernan, and Benjamin Workmaster competed on the varsity golf team, which finished the season with an undefeated record and earned the title of AA Section 4 Champions for the second consecutive season.

  • Eion Tiernan and Ethan McGrath competed in the WPIAL AA Section Individuals event. Eion earned 9th place at the WPIAL AA Section Championship and advanced to the PIAA AA Golf Championship, where he earned 25th place.

  • Seniors Lauren Krugh, Megan Mooney, Alexa Philistine, Savanna Reick, Vivian White, and Makyah Woods competed on the varsity girls volleyball team, which earned the title of WPIAL AA Section 2 Champions for the first time in school history!

  • Varsity volleyball players Lauren Krugh and Makyah Woods were named to the WPIAL AA Section 2 All-Star 1st team; Megan Mooney was named to the All-Star 2nd team; and Savanna Reick was named to the All-Star 3rd team.

  • Senior soccer players Cy Garcia and Jacob Loper were selected to play in the Western PA Soccer Coaches Association’s Boys All Star Game. Seniors Cy Garcia, Jake Loper, and Kijuan Harris were named to the Section 1-AA All-Section Team; senior Caleb Wolfe received an Honorable Mention.

  • Senior football player Dimajio Bailey-Locante was named MVP of the Century Conference. Senior football players Dimajio Bailey-Locante, Ryan Hazlett, Clinton Robinson, Dante More, and Anthony Stribling were named to the All-Conference 1st Team; Gio’Vantae Hutchinson was name to the 2nd Team; Ryan Thamert and Nathan Kunsak were named to the 3rd Team.

  • Varsity girls basketball player Bailey Rieg scored her 1,000th career point this season and was selected to play in the Roundball Classic at Geneva College.

  • Senior Paige Marnell qualified to compete in the WPIAL 400-meter dash event.

  • Senior varsity hockey players Eion Tiernan and Ayden Worstell were named to the 2024 PIHL All-Star team.

  • Congratulations to the following varsity athletic teams that qualified for the WPIAL playoffs this year and to the seniors who competed on these teams:
