Keystone Oaks Senior named finalist in the 2021 National Merit Scholarship Program

KOHS Senior Ethan VonHedemann was one of 15,000 students nationwide to be named a finalist in the 2021 National Scholarship Program. 
Ethan is the Class of 2021 Senior Class President and is an active participant in several clubs and activities at Keystone Oaks High School, including Math Club, Spanish Club, and National Honor Society. He is also the junior council person for Dormont Borough. Ethan competed in the 2020 National FBLA Competition, after earning fourth place at the state competition. Ethan also plays the violin, holds a part-time job, and has earned more than 200 hours of community service by volunteering with his church to turn sermons into podcasts.
As a Finalist, Ethan will have an opportunity to earn one of 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $30 million that will be awarded this year.
