Elementary, Middle School Students Earn Top Honors at Science Bowl

Congratulations to three teams of KO elementary and middle school students who took home top honors in the annual Science Bowl competition, sponsored by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.

Middle School teammates Maddox Fingers, Hannah Charlton, Taylor Knavish and Sophie Granger (first photo) took home first place. A second middle school team - Luke White, Harrison Fleming, Ben Lubina and Ian Spottiswood (second photo) - took home second places. And, elementary school teammates Anika Loper (Dormont), Alison Leung (Aiken) and Colby Snathcko (Myrtle) (third photo) brought home a third place award.

Held at the Carnegie Science Center, students participates in a number of hands-on challenges. This year's activities included: All About H2Oh, Balcony Build-It, Calculation Station and Roller Coasters.
