Sign Up Today to Receive Text Messages from Keystone Oaks School District
Keystone Oaks is excited to launch its new text messaging service! In order to be able to receive text messages, we need you to take a few minutes and update your emergency card, now available through PowerSchool.
Follow these steps:
- Log into PowerSchool - https://powerschool.kosd.org/public/
- On the menu on the left hand side, click “E-Collect Forms”
- Choose Emergency Information Record Form
- In the Guardian Information Section, enter a mobile number in the Cell Phone field. At this time, you may enter mobile numbers for two guardians.
We recommend using the following browsers to update the Emergency Card:
You may also access the form from a mobile device by launching your mobile browser and visiting https://powerschool.kosd.org. At this time the form cannot be accessed from the PowerSchool App.
Once your Emergency Card update is approved by the building secretary, you will receive an opt in text message from SchoolMessenger the following day. The text message will be from SchoolMessenger and will ask you to reply with a “Y” or “Yes.”
Once you opt in, you’ll receive text messages with event and activity reminders, absences and cafeteria debt.
If you opted in to text messages last week using the code that had been provided previously, you will receive text messages as long as your mobile number is on file in PowerSchool. Please take a few minutes to log in and ensure that the mobile number you used to opt in is listed as the cell phone number for one of the guardians on the Emergency Card.
Text messages are a quick, convenient way to receive announcements and reminders and we hope that you will take advantage of this free* service. Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we implement this new communication tool.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Sarah Welch, Coordinator of Communications & Public Relations, via e-mail - email@example.com.
