Principal Mr. Jason Kushak Welcomes Students & Families to Keystone Oaks High School

Dear Parents and Guardians:

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! The staff at Keystone Oaks High School wholeheartedly believes in the district’s mission to provide a safe learning environment that prepares critical thinkers to be responsible and productive members of society. Our goal is that our daily interactions with you and your child reflect that mission. One of my priorities as the new principal at Keystone oaks High School is to build a positive relationship with each and every student and to ensure that their high school experience is a positive one.

In the six short weeks that I have been high school principal, I have had the opportunity to meet the counselors, members of the teaching staff, and others who are here to ensure that students have what they need to be successful and focus on their education. I am excited to be part of this professional, caring staff and the Keystone Oaks family!

Back-to-school packets were mailed to families on Friday, August 18. PowerSchool is now available for students and parents/guardians to log in and view their schedule. A few additional notes, as we prepare for the upcoming school year:

High School Orientation for 9th grade and new students will be held at 9 a.m. on Monday, August 21, 2017. Attendees are to report to the High School Cafeteria; parents/guardians are welcome to attend as well.

The first day of school is Thursday, August 24, 2017. All students should report directly to their homeroom.

The High School Fall Open House & College Fair will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. The College Fair will begin at 6 p.m. in the High School Gym. Open House will begin at 7 p.m. Please look for more details in early September.

Keystone Oaks High School is proud to offer more than 30 clubs and activities for students to participate in and strongly encourages students to get involved in an activity that piques their interests. Descriptions of the clubs are available on the district’s website and we will be offering a “Freshman Rush” event to give students the opportunity to learn more about each activity and to sign up to participate.

I hope that you enjoy the remaining few days of summer vacation and I look forward to a successful year at Keystone Oaks High School. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to me via email – [email protected] or at 412-571-6035.

Sincerely,

Jason Kushak
Principal
