Keystone Oaks Middle School to Implement New Visitor Sign-In Procedures Beginning January 17

Effective Tuesday, January 17, 2017, Keystone Oaks Middle School will utilize the Raptor Visitor Management System to sign visitors into the building. This new system is being launched in the Middle School first and will be implemented at the remaining four buildings at a later date.

As part of this new system, new sign in procedures are being put into place at Keystone Oaks Middle School:

  • All guests visiting the school must present a state-issued driver's license at the main Middle School office, using the McNeilly Road entrance.
  • The driver’s license will be scanned and the system will print a visitor pass with a photo, location of visit and date of visit.
  • The license will be returned to the visitor and will no longer be retained for the duration of the visit, as it had been in the past.
If there are any security alerts regarding a visitor, the building principal and school resource officer will be alerted and will contact the appropriate agencies for proper investigation.

“The goal of the Raptor Visitor Management System is to improve the security of our buildings and to ensure that we have proper identification and documentation of visitors that are interacting with our students,” said Keystone Oaks School Resource Officer John Bruner.

Visitors will not be permitted to enter the building if they do not have a state-issued driver’s license.

Questions about the Raptor Visitor Management System should be directed to School Resource Officer John Bruner ([email protected], 412-571-6248) or Middle School Principal Mr. Jeff Kattan ([email protected], 412-571-6148). Thank you for your patience as we implement this new visitor management system.
