Keystone Oaks High School seeks two dynamic and experienced individuals for its Varsity Boys Basketball and Varsity Girls Volleyball head coaching positions. Successful candidates will lead all aspects of these athletic programs, including overseeing the assistant coaching staff, middle school and high school programs, and off-season programming and duties.

Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the ideal candidates will exemplify Keystone Oaks' mission and guiding principles and inspire student-athletes to strive for excellence. As mentors and role models, the coaches will help develop young leaders by teaching life skills such as respect, teamwork, discipline, and perseverance.
At Keystone Oaks, athletics are seen as an essential part of student development, so this role requires visionary coach who can cultivate a competitive, character-driven program that enriches the overall educational experience. Keystone Oaks' athletic teams proudly compete in the WPIAL and PIAA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership: Develop and maintain the athletic programs, including oversight of the varsity, junior varsity, and middle school teams.
- Coaching & Mentorship: Teach skills, strategies, and life lessons such as teamwork, perseverance, and discipline, while serving as a mentor and role model for student-athletes.
- Planning: Organize and execute all aspects of the programs, including practices, game planning and off-season training.
- Other Duties: Coordinate program logistics, such as scheduling and equipment management, in collaboration with the Athletic Department.
- Coaching Experience: A minimum of three years coaching experience at the high school level is preferred. Collegiate and professional experience will also be considered.
- Knowledge & Skills: Strong background in and understanding of rules, fundamentals, tactics, and strategies, combined with excellent communication and relational leadership skills.
- Communication Skills: The head coach must be an exceptional communicator, able to articulate concepts and strategies clearly to both players and staff. This includes fostering open dialogue, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining strong relationships with athletes, parents, and the broader school community. Clear and confident public speaking abilities are also required for team meetings, media interactions, and community events.
- Other: Demonstrated ability to lead a staff that builds relationships with players and their families and works effectively with diverse populations to foster a sense of belonging for all.
