Keystone Oaks welcomes new school police officer
Mr. Ronald Porupsky, who was appointed as the school police officer for the Keystone Oaks School District by the Board of School Directors during their August 16 Business/Legislative Meeting, officially began his duties on Monday, September 12. 

For the past 22 years, Mr. Porupsky has worked as a police officer for the Borough of Pleasant Hills, where he has served as the school resource officer for the West Jefferson Hills School District since 2015. He is a certified school resource officer through the National Association of School Resource Officers and is also a certified DARE America and ALICE (active shooter preparedness) instructor. He received the NASRO Regional Exceptional Excellence Service Award in 2017 and, in 2015, was named the Police Officer of the Year by the Borough and Township Police Association. Prior to becoming a police officer, he served as a Prevent Medicine Specialist in the United States Army.
