The Keystone Oaks School District is sponsoring a Free Summer Lunch Program beginning on Monday, June 13, 2022. A free nutritious bagged lunch will be available to any child 18 years of age or younger from any community each weekday. There are five distribution sites throughout the Keystone Oaks School District:
Alvern Gardens, Castle Shannon
11:15 am - 12 pm
Hamilton Park, Castle Shannon
11:30 - 12:30, during the summer recreation program
Myrtle Avenue Elementary School
12:15 - 1 pm
Dormont Recreation Center
11:45 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Keystone Oaks High School (Entrance C31 behind the building)
11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Effective Friday, July 8, 2022, meals do not need to be consumed on site.
The Summer Lunch Program is funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Due to changes to program guidelines, pre-ordering or picking up meals for multiple days is no longer permitted. Additionally, there is not a distribution site in Green Tree due to changes in eligibility criteria that must be met for a community to qualify for the free meals program.
