Students selected for PMEA District 1 Junior High Band, Band, Jazz Band, Chorus and Orchestra festivals

Congratulations to the Keystone Oaks High School students Ben Burke, Caleb Anderson, Nadia Dojcak, Cailyn Lockhart, and Lucy Brooke, and to Keystone Oaks Middle School students Zach Dalrymple and Lilli Gallego, for being selected to participate in the PMEA District 1 Junior High Band, Band, Jazz Band, Orchestra and Chorus festivals after successfully auditioning this winter. 

 

Senior trombone player Ben Burke and junior French horn player Caleb Anderson participated in the honors band festival at North Hills Middle School in January. Through their successful audition and participation, Ben and Caleb were selected to perform in the PMEA District 1 West Band Festival, which was held at Trinity High School in February. 


Caleb and Ben were also selected to participate in the PMEA District 1 Orchestra Festival, which was held at Heinz Hall in January. 


Following a successful audition at Seton Hill University, Ben was also selected to participate in the PMEA District 1 Jazz Band Festival, which was held at Seton Hill in February. 


Following an audition at Penn Trafford High School, sophomore Nadia Dojcak was selected to participate in the PMEA District 1 Chorus Festival, which was held at Thomas Jefferson High School in January. She was also selected to participate int he Region 1 Chorus Festival, which was held at Pine Richland High School in March. 


Freshman trombone player Cailyn Lockhart, freshman clarinet player Lucy Brooke, eighth grade trumpet player Zach Dalrymple, and eighth grade flute player Lilli Gallego, were all selected to participate in the PMEA District 1 West Junior High Band Festival, which was held at Mt. Lebanon High School in March.
