Girls Basketball Shooting for Playoffs
The Keystone Oaks Girls Basketball team started off their season in their tipoff tournament, winning both of their games. The team is off to a strong start, after losing three of their five starters this year.

“Jay, Isa, and Gillian were all key players on this team the past few years so them graduating is a big loss for us but we’ve made adjustments and we have had other girls step up so we should be okay this year,” said senior captain Erin Feeney.

The Lady Eagles included in a section with some very talented teams, giving them some good competition. They have high hopes for this season.

“This season will definitely be difficult for us, but all of the girls have been working really hard and we will put up a good fight and make the best of every game,” said junior Helena Piccolino.

This year's team is strong, showing a lot of talent. Like every other team they have their weaknesses. This year’s starters have not all faced good varsity time, which can be a big jump. After a few good games this season, they should be in a good place to compete with some good teams.

The team works well together, and gets along well. This allows them to work well together on and off of the court. Everyone on the team helps each other out and push each other to be their best.

“Being a freshman this year has been a big step, but it’s good. The seniors are all really nice and are a big help. It’s a lot of hard work, but not like I expected it to be,” said freshman Isabella Matthews.

Although the season has just begun, the team is already working hard and pushing to make the playoffs this year again. They have a lot of obstacles and will have to work very hard, but have hopes that they will be successful in the end.
