Keystone Oaks launches Recovery Team to provide input on Health & Safety Plans
Keystone Oaks School District is currently preparing our Athletic Health & Safety Plan and our Health & Safety Plan for when students return to school in the fall.

Athletic Director Mark Elphinstone is working with a committee of coaches, athletic trainers, and other local athletic directors to develop the Athletic Health & Safety Plan. The District's goal is for the Board of School Directors to vote on the plan by the end of June so that conditioning, practices, and other activities related to athletics can resume in July.

Additionally, the District has a Recovery Team in place that includes administrators, professional staff, and community members with expertise in various areas. The Recovery Team will provide input on the Health and Safety Plan as well as what instruction will look like in the Red, Yellow, and Green Phases of Pennsylvania’s COVID-19 Reopening Plan. The District's goal is for the Board of School Directors to vote on the Health & Safety Plan by mid-July; an approved Health & Safety Plan is required before we can provide any in-person instruction.

The District will share our Health & Safety Plan with families when it is approved so that families have time to review Keystone Oaks’ plans for health and safety, as well as curriculum and instruction, before school starts on August 24. While the guidelines from the Pennsylvania Department of Education may change at any time, Keystone Oaks is planning for in-person instruction as well as options for online learning.
