As part of a new program announced by Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf, all K-12 students in Pennsylvania will be eligible for free breakfast in school beginning Monday, October 3, 2022. The program will be in effect through the 2022-2023 school year.
In order for a meal to be free, a student must select a fruit or fruit juice and at least two additional items (protein, grain or milk). A la carte items, such as a single pop tart or cereal bar, are not eligible for the free breakfast program and students will be charged for individual items.
Keystone Oaks families will continue to pay for lunch meals, unless their child qualifies for the Free & Reduced Lunch program. For details on how to apply, please visit the Food Service Department website.
