Project Succeed director set to retire after 34 years in public education

Project Succeed Graduation

With the graduation of this year's class of Project Succeed participants, Mr. Joel Vanucci is marking the end of a 34 year career in education.

Mr. Vanucci was hired in 1988 as Keystone Oaks High School's Dean of Students/Assistant Principal. After serving in that capacity for five years, he transitioned to the position of school counselor, a role that he held until his retirement from the Keystone Oaks School District in 2008. That same year, he began working with Project Succeed and he has overseen the program for the last 14 years.

Project Succeed is an evening educational program that is operated by the Keystone Oaks School District. In its 36 year history, Project Succeed has helped more than 4,000 students receive high school diplomas.

Congratulations on your retirement!
