To start the 2020-2021 school year, the Keystone Oaks School District will be implementing a 1:1 Chromebook Program at both Keystone Oaks Middle School and Keystone Oaks High School. This means that every student will receive a Chromebook device that they will keep with them for the entire school year and can use both during school and at home. We are very excited about this initiative and the opportunities that we will now have to personalize learning through the enhanced use of technology.
The Keystone Oaks School District is partnering with One2One Risk Solutions to provide accident and loss protection for student Chromebook Devices. By registering with One2One and purchasing a damage waiver, your student will be protected from the full cost to repair or replace a device. While purchasing device protection is not mandatory, it is highly recommended as the cost to replace a new Chromebook is $335.
The cost to purchase the Protection Plan is $20 per student device. The deductibles are as follows:
- First Incident - $0
- Second Incident - $10
- Third Incident - $25
- Lost or stolen device - $100
If you choose to not participate in the program, a parent or guardian will be responsible for the full cost of the device, which is $335.
To sign up for the One2One Protection program, please click here or refer to the PDF below to get started.
In addition to the One2One Protection Program, all students and parents/guardians must agree to abide by the rules and guidelines outlined in the Chromebook Program Handbook. You can sign off on the Chromebook Program Handbook when you purchase the protection plan or forms will be available when devices are distributed in August.
