“This program helps to ensure that children living in and around the Keystone Oaks School District have access to a filling, nutritious lunch,” said Kevin Lloyd, Keystone Oaks Director of Food Services. “We are excited to host the Summer Food Program again this year and are grateful to the host sites and community partners for helping to make this program possible.”

No photo identification or sign up is required in order for children to be able to receive a lunch. The District has set up a voluntary text message service, where children 13 years of age or older and their parents/guardians can sign up to receive updates about the program. Those who are interested can sign up by texting @2016SLP to 81010; they do not have to reply with their name.

The Summer Lunch Program is funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Education and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Last year, Keystone Oaks distributed nearly 6,800 lunches during the Summer Lunch Program.
