KO’s Daure Power
Eat, sleep, football. That is the regimen of Keystone Oaks senior running back, Michael Daure. Many people play football, but Daure is more than just a football player. He’s an amazing teammate, and an overall wonderful young man.
Daure discussed his recent game against Hopewell. He had five touchdowns and he also threw a touchdown. Daure has an important job on the football field at running back. Daure trains for a new season of football very early.
“Year around I train because my mind set is if I’m not working out then someone else is getting better than me,” said Daure.
Keystone Oaks High school football is coached by Greg Perry. From Seton to Ko Perry left, and started to coach at Ko in 2004.
“Coach Perry is an excellent coach he motivates my team and I to improved everyday on our skills, and teamwork,”said Daure.
Some of Daure’s strengths on the field is his hard work he puts into every game and also his speed. Being fast on a football field is a great quality to have in this particular sport.
Conner Brown, a sophomore, commented on his teammate’s game.
“Michael is a great team leader, and is a great guy off the field. He’s a perfect role model of the type of athlete you would want to play with, and he helps out the team a lot. He is a once-in-a-lifetime type of player to come through Keystone Oaks, and I’m lucky enough to play with him.”
Also a freshman, Tyler Perry, explained his first year of playing with Daure.
“It’s very fun to play with Mike. Also you can expect him to score a lot, and gain yards. Mike has a lot of energy during school, and practice which carries onto the field.” As teammates say it seem like Daure is a great guy on and off the field.
