Details announced for Homecoming Week
Keystone Oaks will celebrate Homecoming October 20 through October 26. Homecoming festivities will include a bonfire/pep rally, spirit week, parade, recognition of Homecoming court, crowning of the Homecoming King & Queen, and the Homecoming dance. 

Homecoming festivities will begin with a Bonfire/Pep Rally at 7 p.m. on Sunday, October 20 in Green Tree Park, behind Fred L. Aiken Elementary School. The Green Tree Borough Volunteer Fire Department will light the bonfire, which will be highlighted by a DJ, games, and food and drinks for sale. Everyone is encouraged to attend this free community event.

Spirit Week will be held October 21 through October 25 with the following dress up days:
  • Monday-KOw! Superhero Costume!
  • Tuesday-Twinning Tuesday
  • Wednesday-Not Mean Girls! On Wednesday We Wear Pink! We Support Breast Cancer Awareness and Research!
  • Thursday- Tacky Tourists
  • Friday- KO Krazy Gold & White Day

The annual Homecoming Parade from Dormont Elementary to Dormont Memorial Stadium will take place on Friday, October 25 prior to the Golden Eagles game versus Waynesburg High School. The parade will commence from Dormont Elementary School (3200 Annapolis Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216) and will follow the familiar parade route down Annapolis Avenue to Kelton Avenue before making its way up Hillsdale Avenue and into Dormont Memorial Stadium (1801 Hillsdale Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15216). Members of the 2019 Homecoming Court will be introduced before the game and the coronation ceremony will take place at half-time.

The Homecoming Dance will be held at Keystone Oaks High School Gymnasium on October 26 from 7:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. This year’s theme is “A Haunted Homecoming” (costumes are not permitted). Tickets will be available for sale the Week beginning October 15, 2019 through October 18, 2019 in both lunches. The price is $15.00 each and includes hors d’voeuvres & beverages.
