Update 4/9/20: Keystone Oaks closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year

Good Afternoon Keystone Oaks Families,

Today, Thursday, April 9, 2020, Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced that all K-12 schools in Pennsylvania will remain closed through the end of the 2019-2020 school year. Keystone Oaks will continue to provide instruction via Google Classroom through Thursday, June 11, 2020, our previously scheduled last day of school.

This is a disappointing and heartbreaking way to end the school year for everyone, but especially for our seniors, who have worked so hard to reach this point and had many special end-of-the-year events to which they looked forward. Our central office administrators and building principals are working together to develop a plan to recognize and celebrate our seniors, both on June 11, 2020 and, if group gatherings are permitted, on another date in the future. A plan with additional details will be released in the very near future.

Additionally, we are working on a plan to allow students to gather any personal belongings that were left in the buildings and will communicate those details as soon as they are available.

We appreciate your continued cooperation and support as we navigate this unprecedented situation. We will be sure to pass along information and updates as they become available.

Sincerely,

William P. Stropkaj, Ed.D.

Superintendent, Keystone Oaks School District
