Autism Awareness Event Support Middle School Best Friends Club, Autistic Support Classroom
Keystone Oaks Middle School students "light it up blue" for Autism Awareness this week, participating in a number of fundraisers to benefit the building's autistic support classroom and the Middle School Best Friends Club.

On Sunday, April 2, Dormont Borough and the The Hollywood Theater in Dormont hosted a sensory-friendly movie fundraiser, raising nearly $900 for the Middle School Best Friends Club.Thank you to the businesses and individuals who donated items for the gift basket raffle and to Rep. Dan Miller for his support of the event.

Throughout the week, students collected spare change and other donations, sold Autism Awareness Ribbons, and wore blue to support autism awareness and acceptance.

A huge thank you to parent volunteer Mary Jo Maggio for coordinating the fundraiser at the Hollywood Theater and to club sponsors Andy Bochicchio and Steve McCormick for their efforts in leading the activities this week!
