Aiken Elementary Students Shave Heads for Childhood Cancer Research
Students at Aiken Elementary participated in the school's annual "head shaving" to raise funds for St. Baldrick's Foundation, raises money to fund research on childhood cancers. 25 individuals participated this year, including female students, father-son partners and even a grandma!
Students raised more than $10,000 this year. In the six years that Mr. Bill Opperman has organized the event, the school has raised more than $46,000!
