New School Records Set at WPIAL Track & Field Championships
Five members of the Girls’ Varsity Track & Field Team set new school records at the WPIAL Track Championships on Thursday, May 19.
- Danielle Super set a new school record for girls Pole Vault with a vault of 8’9”
- The girls 4x100 Meter Relay Team set a new girls school record of 51.67 seconds. Selena Canello, Danielle Super, Hayley Frederick and Tara Gologram are the members of the record-setting team.
In addition to these new records, several track and field team members won medals at yesterday’s WPIAL Championships:
- Emily Kalanish placed 6th in Shot Put
- Tara Gologram placed 8th in the 100 Meter Dash
- Danielle Super placed 7th in Pole Valult
- Selena Canella placed 7th in the 200 Meter Dash
- Danielle Super placed 6th in Long Jump
