Board of School Directors adopts modified 2017-2018 school year calendar
Keystone Oaks School District’s Board of School Directors approved an updated 2017-2018 school year calendar during their Business/Legislative Meeting on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. This change was necessary due to the new collective bargaining agreement with the Keystone Oaks Education Association.
Students will be dismissed from school early on the following dates:
- Wednesday, November 22, 2017
- Friday, December 22, 2017
- Tuesday, March 27, 2018
- Friday, May 25, 2018
The dismissal schedule for students is as following:
- Keystone Oaks High School & Middle School – 10:45 a.m. dismissal
- Dormont Elementary School – 11:15 a.m. dismissal
- Aiken Elementary School – 11:25 a.m. dismissal
- Myrtle Elementary School – 11:40 a.m. dismissal
Lunch will not be served on days where there is an early dismissal. Students who attend Parkway West Career & Technical Center will be transported to Parkway according to their regular schedule and then will be dropped off at the bus stop where they are picked up. Elementary students who participate in the Extended Day Program at Aiken and Dormont Elementary Schools will be able to attend immediately following the early dismissal.
