High School Announcements for the Week of February 24, 2020

Medical Careers Club:@ 0725 in the HS library.  New members are welcome.  Please make every effort to attend!

Art Club: The Art Club is in search of a student with an interest in photography for an upcoming event in April.  This is a professional job and community service may be earned.  Interested students should see Mrs. Hruby in either rooms 136 or 192 for more information.  Students may also contact Mrs. Hruby via Remind by texting @94dg9b to the number 81010.

NEW Internship Program: Juniors who are interested in next year's internship program can pick up the application from Ms. Scanlon in the guidance office.  Applications are due by March 13th.

Science Bowl: This past Saturday, Keystone Oaks was one of 37 teams participating in the Southwestern PA Regional Science Bowl.  Students representing Keystone Oaks were:

Gabby Veason

While KO didn’t win their division, they tied North Hills and had notable wins against Bethel Park as well as a bye round win against Ms. McSwigan. Congratulations.

Environmental Club: There will be an environmental club meeting Thursday, February 27th in room 110 after school.

FBLA:

1. All FBLA Sarris Candy Money needs to be turned in to Mrs. Smith immediately.

2.  There will be a short yet important meeting Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Mrs. Smith's room immediately after school.  Important SLC information/permission forms will be passed out.

Hometown High Q: This Saturday, February 29th, remember to watch the Hometown High Q at 11:00 AM on KDKA.  Watch as Keystone Oaks competes against Leechburg Junior/Senior High School and Knoch High School.   Don’t miss Keystone Oaks on the Hometown High Q this Saturday at 11:00 am on KDKA.

Blood Drive: The senior class will be sponsoring their second blood drive for this year on Thursday, March 12, 2020.

Registration forms will be in homeroom mailboxes next week.  Please complete these forms and turn them in to Mrs. Smith to reserve a time to donate.  Anyone 16 years of age must have a parent permission form signed also.
