Good Afternoon Keystone Oaks Families,
It is with sadness that I reach out to you to share the news that Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf announced today that all K-12 schools in Pennsylvania will be closed indefinitely to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Keystone Oaks began online learning today and we are planning to continue to provide instruction via Google Classroom through Thursday, June 11, 2020, our previously scheduled last day of school. While it is possible that Governor Wolf may open schools before then, it does not seem likely at this time.
The end of the school year is filled with so many special events and traditions for students, families, and staff. If we do not return to school this year, please know that central office administrators, building principals, and professional staff will be working together to find alternate ways to celebrate these meaningful occasions for our students.
These are difficult, sad and scary times for children and adults. Please know that we are in this together and that we will do anything we can to help support the Keystone Oaks community as we grapple with this health crisis. We will be sure to pass along information and updates as they become available.
William P. Stropkaj, Ed.D.
Superintendent, Keystone Oaks School District
