KO learns about sports, arts, and entertainment management

On Friday March 24th, Mr. Stephen Tanzilli visited Keystone Oaks High School to discuss the opportunities stemming from sports, arts and entertainment management. He is the associate professor for the major at Point Park University. Mr. Tanzilli shared his life experiences and background information that related to the course he is in charge of at the university.
Students from all grades were welcome to attend. Seniors Zach Mckay and Richard Magyan explored the facet of the program. Zach thought the presentation was “very interesting and seemed like a viable major. Who knew the business side could be so fun?”
Richard Magyan had a different outlook on it.
“Some things were interesting. I’m more interested in the art of performing rather than the business of it. It does seem like you can make a good bit of money from it, though”.
Stephen Tanzilli had a vast range of information for young people looking to follow in his footsteps. He even related to the kids who aren’t sure of what they want to do in college.
“Even if you don’t know yet about what you want to study, you aren’t in a bad spot. Go study abroad or challenge yourself to think about life outside of your comfort zone. Watch business shows and volunteer your time to build your resume.”
What he discussed to the group about encourage hard work and success. It’s important for every student to get the most out of college, expand horizons and meet new faces. One will never work a day in their life if they love their job.
