Is Mark Zuckerberg the next Tony Stark?

The creator of Facebook recently publicized his intent to develop artificial intelligence, stating, “you can think of it kind of like J.A.R.V.I.S. in Iron Man.”
He intends to utilize it both for his home and work place, utilizing Facebook software seemingly so that they can compete with Siri and Cortana of Apple and Microsoft respectively. He also intends to have this serve as his 2016 goal, which, judging by how well he followed through with his last few New Years resolutions, will most likely be achieved –and if not, then it would not be for a lack of trying.
Such attempts at technological advancements seem like they will happen often, as technology has increasingly been integrated into our lives. Especially at schools, as demonstrated in how KO has multiple computer labs, courses centered on technology and design, and Promethean boards in a majority of the classrooms. No subject is exempt from this expansion of technology, and if Zuckerberg is successful, he may just change the face of our schools even more.
This also appears to be one of his intentions, as on Facebook, someone mentioned that they encouraged their granddaughters to “date the nerd of the school, he could be the next Mark Zuckerberg.”
Zuckerberg then replied, “Even better would be to encourage them to be the nerd in their school so they can be the next successful inventor!”
This demonstrates just how progressive in thought he is, as he supports the younger generation experimenting with technology so that they might find success and happiness like he has. As to his 2016 goal, only time can tell how successful he will be –if he is completely, then the next question on people’s mind will be “what will be created next?” and it will help fuel interest in technology, not only as an economic industry, but in schools as well.
