Update 3/23/17: Statement Regarding KOEA Vote to Authorize a Work Stoppage

Keystone Oaks School District released the following statement from the District's solicitor on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. The statement was last updated on March 23, 2017.

"The Keystone Oaks School District was notified earlier today by the Keystone Oaks Education Association (KOEA) that its members have authorized the KOEA negotiating team to initiate a work stoppage if deemed necessary. At this time, a date for a work stoppage has not been announced and KOEA must provide 48 hours advance notice before a work stoppage can occur.

Keystone Oaks School District has been negotiating in good faith with the Keystone Oaks Education Association since January of 2016 and will continue to work diligently to reach an agreement that is sustainable and fair to the taxpayers of the Keystone Oaks School District and does not disrupt the school year for our students. The most recent bargaining session was held on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.

The District will continue to bargain in good faith in the hope of reaching an agreement that will benefit all who are affected, particularly the children within the District."
