The goal of Keystone Oaks School District's Director of Special Education is to support a quality learning environment and provide all students with equal opportunities for success.

The Keystone Oaks School District is alerting all alumni that after a period of at least six years, Special Education and Gifted Education Records are no longer needed for the provision of a Free and Appropriate Public Education (FAPE).

 

Keystone Oaks School District alumni who graduated in the year 2017 are advised that their records are scheduled to be destroyed on June 30, 2023. Anyone who wishes to review their records prior to destruction should contact the Special Education Office at 412-571-6014.

 

Please note that this alert only pertains to alumni who received services through Special Education and/or Gifted Education while attending the Keystone Oaks School District. Further, only the Special Education and/or Gifted Education portion of the Student Records will be destroyed. The remainder of the student record will not be affected.

 

Requests for Special and/or Gifted Education Records of students who graduated in 2016 will not be possible after June 30, 2023.

Beginning with the 2022-2023 school year, the Keystone Oaks School District is partnering with AOT Specialized Educational Therapy Services for Occupational Therapy (OT) and Behavior Services. 

 

AOT is located in Coraopolis and was founded in 1980. There will be two Occupational Therapists assigned to the district and a BCBA assigned 3 days per week. The BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) will provide support and training for our staff who work with students who need specialized interventions and will assist all in understanding the functions of behavior and why they occur.
